Revelation Spiritual Messages

Who is God?

My daddy used to say, “You know those lyrics but you don’t know that math…”

And because I am now a 28-year-old woman applying his phrase to my Spiritual life and others as well, I could not help but passionately hear his words and explain them in a way that applies to the world around me.

Who is God? No, seriously, who is God?

I found myself speaking to close family friends and my husband, stating, “I would like to believe God is…”

But putting God in the image I created instead of who He is, is not who He is. I always say “I believe” with insecurities, thinking that others may call me out and tell me otherwise, leaving me to state that common phrase or keep quiet altogether. I am nervous to even pray, thinking I will be stopped in my tracks if I don’t say the right thing or use the right terms. But there is no need to be insecure.

Who is God?!?

If you don’t know, look it up. It’s in the Word given to you. Part of me wants to tell you about God and explain His goodness in general, but what effort would you have made to know Him for yourself? So again, look Him up. Read about Him. Get to know Him in all ways and forms that He presents Himself to you so that you can confidently speak the Words of scripture, knowing who your Heavenly Father is.

I want to add this, and please excuse this term that I REALLY HATE, but you’re not a bastard; you’re a child of God. He has invited you to share life with Him. To grow a relationship with him, yet because we picture this magical God and pick and choose the verses that serve our needs, we stand in a mediocre place with no growth in living this life He has called us to. Who is it that you serve? Do you know Him? I hope so.

That same energy that you put into the Diddy drama or social media, work, and self-image, stop now and see what good that does for you in the long run. How do other people’s drama and stress benefit you and your eternal life? What are you feeding yourself other than distractions? Apply that energy to discover God and who He is, and watch your life transform.

Again, as my daddy used to say, ” You know those lyrics by heart, but you don’t know that math.”

You know everything about nothing, but don’t know anything about the Father who created you in His image and made you everything for Him and his kingdom. You don’t know God!

Let’s make reality eternal! Get to know Him!!!

Holy Spirit, Get ‘em!
