How to choose others through chaotic times
How many times have we chosen ourselves?
You see a person in need or troubled about something, and for a second, you may glance once or twice at them, but in the end, you find yourself walking away from them because their timing could not have been any better for you.
In another world where it would not be inconvenient for you, you would have maybe helped the person and just loved on them, but because you are in a hurry to pick an event, or your kids are acting up, or maybe you don’t feel like your mental/ spiritual health could not help this person then you decide to disregard the whole opportunity of making a difference.
We as a whole
We live in a world where we complain about why people are so mean or how the world needs to be a better place, but we as people don’t make the effort to allow God to use us to make the change. I am not saying that if we all did our part, there would be no mass shootings or high numbers of murder cases and suicide, but what I am saying is, how many times have we chosen ourselves over people?
In those moments of life just happening, we need to remember that life is just happening for everyone else. Life is happening for the first time to everyone in new everyday impactful events.
Take time to choose others in your chaotic schedule so that God can make a move.
Try and take your time and live. Life is short, and we miss many opportunities outside of our self-desires and egos. Take the time to meet people, help, and make a change. Not something to boast about but something to praise God that He was able to use you as a vessel for His lost sheep. For His hurting, confused, sick, misguided sheep. Remember that Jesus died so that we may all have a chance of being saved. That lost and hurting soul just needs that one obedient person to be used by God to be saved.
So next time, please challenge yourself to be aware of people (lost souls) around you, step out on faith and allow God to use you for His children who need Him.
Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God- even as I try to please everyone in every way. For I am not seeking my own good but the good of many, so that they may be saved. Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.1 Corinthians 10:32- 11:1
