Encouraging Note: Don’t Get Comfortable In Making Excuses To Show Up And Praise God.
Today I got a surprise escort home from church!!!
Since our family car was in the shop, I decided not to let that be an excuse and walked to church instead. Hill-like inclines and many cars were driving along the access road, but a Grand God Army of protection was on my side, leading me to the doors. I could have said no to the 40-minute walk, but I will never forget my daddy saying that there is no excuse for not showing up and praising God. He would leave the hospital and go straight to the church doors (dropped off because he couldn’t walk). On the days he could not make it, he would say, “If I could, I would.” He used that line for everything… I may not have had a car, but I had God-given breath in my lungs and legs. I had arms to push 80lbs of a wagon full of babies who needed to see that no matter what, there was no excuse. I want to be a walking example to them of the Works of God and the things He is doing. I want them to see commitment. God is certainly in our home, but I want them to know other believers and have fellowship with their brothers and sisters in Christ. I needed it for myself as well to retrain my mind from being settled and comfortable in my house to walking with faith and proving to myself many things that I needed today… If this is for you, then let it be for you. But do not give up. Many people are watching, but for those of you who must live with yourself, step out of your comfort zone and live the life God has planned for you. Live out His will. Don’t make excuses for a promise that can only be fulfilled through your obedience and guidance, as you walk with the Holy Spirit. You are victorious, destined to win no matter what, because God our Father has the victory already. It may not look like how you thought it would look along the way, but through Him and His will over your life, you will win! Get up and get out! Get out of your mind. Get out of other people’s oppression over you, surrender your all to Him, and don’t pick it back up, but live a life of freedom. Let those chains and generational curses be done with you and not continue to your children. Put an end to it and stop allowing the enemy to move you. Stop blocking and accept it. You’re feeling contempt or like something is missing. It is the person who created you who wants you to stop entertaining the world and entertain Him. He wants your attention. You want and need His everything. That avoidance cannot go on any longer. You need Him, and He is ready for you to finally wake up to His love, favor, and promises.
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
